Sadly, my last week hasn’t been one of the best. Don’t get me wrong.. both other half and myself had a wonderful time at Ukulele Bedford in the Kings Arms Pub last Wednesday evening, and of course a great time at Red Cuthbert Morris practice session on Thursday at Saint Cuthberts Hall in Bedford.
Towards the weekend, however… I ended up in hospital due to being unable to walk very well. My legs had swollen up and I needed help. Prior to this we had been to the Doctors for an appointment and the Doctor told me I had what looks like an Edema. The hospital confirmed it as Pitted Edema class 4 which is serious… and was prescribed with medication to reduce the swelling. The Staff at the hospital were very kind and caring.. looked after us both.
I’m now recovering at home and ready for another week!
Take my advice.. if YOUR legs begin swelling, and it gets painful to walk?.. do NOT ignore it. Please, please get yourself an urgent appointment with your Doctor.
My sincere thanks to all of those wonderful Staff at Bedford South Wing Hospital.. and the Urgent Care Centre Staff too… thank you all!!
